ABOUT ME
I teach first-year writing at James Madison University. In addition, I write non-fiction books for middle school and high school audiences, and literary essays for adults. What interests me lately is understanding how people learn to read differently according to context, situation, and platform.
I live in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia with my family.
